Note: The majority the dolls have soft bodies and all Newborn style dolls have soft arms and legs unless otherwise stated. A good way to determine the characteristic of the arms, legs and body is by viewing the outfit the doll wears. For the arms, if the sleeves are short showing the arms, then the arms are either 3/4 or full vinyl- if the outfit covers the arm it is probably a soft arm with 1/4 vinyl hands - if the belly is showing the doll is either full vinyl or has a breast plate. Newborns and infants styles the same applies for the legs. All Toddlers have full vinyl legs for standing. Note: Middleton ASC dolls are designed for adult collectors, and have not been tested to meet the child safety standards for young children. The overall structure is not harmful for children, but the clothing is less durable and dolls usually have many small delicate embellishments that could be a choking hazard for small children. Thus they bear the label 'Not a toy, for artful display'.
