Well it is that time of year again-- Introduction of New Dolls and Great Sales-
Review of Middleton's New 2011 dolls:
   
Play Dolls-
Lee Middleton Dolls continues in their age appropriate line of dolls
with 10 new PlayBabies dressed in the most delightful outfits. And for
the older children and adults they have added a New Category Collection
of 12 Cuddle Babies! These 19-inch newborn babies have realistic
weighted bodies, artist sculpted heads, hands & feet and beautiful
eyes. Face sculpts are Reva Schick's 'Mommy's Delight', 'Baby Face',
Mother's Joy', Lil' Peanut' and 'Angel Love'. They come dressed as
either girl or boy and have blonde hair-blue eyes; brown hair- brown
eyes. Perfect babies for play or cuddling.
ASC Dolls For
those of you that have been concerned about the continuation of ASC
'Artist Studio Collection' dolls...The wait is over.... Six ASC dolls
are being introduced including the Sixth Edition of the Flower Girl
Series,"Pansy'. The dolls were previewed at the Toy Fair in Feb. and
were well received.
Necessities -
A new line of clothing for all sizes of PlayBabies and the 19-inch
Newborn dolls will also be coming. They are delightful and will be
posted for viewing as soon as I receive pictures from Middleton Dolls.
I hope to have the pictures within the next two weeks and will post
them as fast as I am able. I am told the Middleton items are not
expected until late Summer early Fall. So you may want to consider them New for Christmas.
Just to prepare you -The new dolls come with a price increase. I have
been told that stock is getting low on the dolls in stock now. So if
you are interested in one of them you might want to consider making
your purchase while they are available.

It is always an exciting time to get that first glance of the
outstanding new collection of Alexander's Limited Edition Dolls,
21-inch Cissy, 16-inch Neo Cissy, 16-inch Alex and 8-inch Wendy and

Reborn Babies - Actually
the correct tern is 'Newborn Babies' for these babies are not repainted
dolls, but painted on new vinyl. But they are commonly know as '
Reborn Babies' due to there real-life characteristics, so I will use
the term 'Reborn'. Four new 17-inch preemies and a 19-inch doll have
been added to what was introduced last year. As a refresher on these
doll.- The standard soft vinyl doll has been treated with a internal
blue dye wash to enhance that life-like appearance and given a light
base coat of blush and shading. Very appropriate for our very
sophisticated child that now wants a doll that really looks like a
baby. You have the option of body styles and eye color.New information
is being added under the heading 'The Bare Facts'
on how the dolls are made, and the different stuffing firmness
available. You now have a firmness selection. These dolls are also
appropriate for adults wanting a realistic baby doll at a wonderfully
low price.
Our Babies are also a very good start to adding additional reborning
attributes such as veining, shading etc. In the near future dolls well
be available for purchase as dissembled kits for those of you that like
to make your own dolls.
Design your own Doll- Make a Look-like-me Doll. These dolls were introduced last year now
we have 24 different facial expression to select from, 3 different
skin tones and body styles, several eye colors, and I am excited to
say soon you will be able to select one of many different hair styles
and outfits. New wigs are being added this week.
The
finished doll is 21-22-inches. weighted doll resembling a child from 3
months to 2 years - depending on your choices. The doll components for
both 'Design your own Doll and Reborn dolls' are designed, poured, and
painted in Michigan and finished and assembled by us at Quality Dolls.
The wigs from the, Monique Collection, and body slips are the only
part items made in China. So 90% Made in America dolls, and reasonably priced. If
you are a seamstress and would be interested in making body slips for
these dolls- contact me. I would be wonderful to say 95% made in
America.

Middleton PlayBabies- ???? The purchase of Middleton Doll Company
has caused a big delay in re-stocking of these much loved Babies. But
I am glad to report they should be arriving in late September or
October. I have been told by MA the first shipment is almost sold out
and the second shipment will not be arriving until mid November.
Quality Dolls was able to get a fairly large order in for the 1st
shipping and have been taking pre-orders for these dolls. Pre-orders
will be the first to ship out to customers as soon as they arrive. I feel this an important message to share with all my customers with children or grandchildren that may be interested in purchasing a Dollhouse

Spring has Sprung! Passover and Easter are around the corner!
 Mother's Day is fast approaching!..... Hard to believe isn't it?
Bouncing from Winter to Spring is a time of new beginnings,
Even at Lee Middleton Dolls.
Doll Collectors
in case you have not heard the news. Lee Middleton Doll Company was
purchased by Madame Alexander Doll company on March the 11th. Although
it is reported that they will continue to use the Middleton name for
this branch of their business, the fate of the ASC or NOW dolls is not
known. Madame Alexander has announced plans to re-stock Newborn
Nursery Babies and Playbabies by the fall of this year. Be sure to keep
up-dated by logging on to my Blog. Link can be found on the website.
Available Dolls
I
was very fortunate last fall to have been able to acquire the exclusive
on the MOD Little Darling dolls and stock up on MOB, ASC dolls and
clothes just prior the assets being frozen due to the sales of the
Middleton Doll Co.. My stock is now low on many of the dolls and
outfits. I will be spotlighting the MOB dolls in new outfits until the
stock runs out.
 Easter Dolls: MOB dolls dressed ready for their Easter Party. Dolls comes with accessories and boxed in a ASC gift box. Limited quantity.
ASC Dolls: ASC dolls shown on the website will probably start to increase in retail prices as time goes on.
 PlayBabies :
The word is that all the PlayBabies that were available last year will
be re-stocked and available by late Summer-early Fall. I am accepting
pre-orders on these dolls. Six months is a long time to have your money
on hold for a pre-order, so I am requiring a $6 to $17 deposit
(depending on the Price of the doll ordered). Then when the dolls come
in you will be notified and arrangements can be made for the remaining
payment. Pre-orders will insure you will receive your doll at first
shipping.
 New Stock
-Precious Moments Bisque figurines and vinyl Precious Moments dolls
featured for Mother's day will be available soon along with more items
from The Doll Maker. I'm sure Madame Alexander Dolls will follow at
some point in the near future.

Information on Dolls
Are the Playbabies going to be re-stocked and When? We
have received many inquiries about the Middleton play baby dolls styled
and sized for children -newborn to 4 years of age. I do understand your
frustration of finding them completely out of stock everywhere.
I
have been told the reason for the delay is due to 'manufacturing
negotiations' and that all the Playbaby dolls that were in last years catalog
will be re-stocked. That is the good news- the bad news is .. they
will not be available until late April or May of this year. I do
apologize to all of you that were hoping to purchase them earlier.
My Own Baby ASC Dolls: Little
Darling- featured on our website is exclusive to Quality Dolls and
comes dressed in various outfits. These dolls are very popular and will
be sold out completely before summer. I have heard it is unlikely
Middleton has plans to re manufacture the MOB dolls for some time to
come. I will sure be sad to see them go, for I have fallen in Love with
them. So I am stocking as many as possible.
Artist Studio Collection Dolls: Middleton Dolls™ has not given out any information about New ASC dolls at this time. Keeping us all in suspense!
I do imagine when they do introduce a new line they will be offered to
dealers as they were last year -By pre-order Only. Where retailers
were asked to pre-order the dolls they feel they will need to supply
their customers. If so the Edition sizes will be very low again, and
wonderful for the Doll Collector. The lower the Edition size the
higher the potential collectible value will be. But of course the
harder to find. As for the ASC dolls now in stock, they are selling out
fast. The Middleton warehouse only has 18 different dolls in stock -out
the 61 they had stocked last September. So if you are interested in a
specific doll -don't delay in your purchase.
Reborn Doll Kits:
The new Middleton Reborn doll kits are now available, along with a new
instructional book written especially for the Middleton's soft vinyl
doll kits using Peaches & Creams complexion application. The book
is a soft cover 66 page full color designed for beginners and advanced
Reborn artist. The new reborn kits are Reva Schick & Jane
Pinkstaff sculpts, 19" - 21" 3/4 vinyl limbs. Special discounts are given for Club or Group purchases.

New Products: New 2009 ASC dolls are now in and available for shipping.
When they started to arrive there were a few surprises;
 Sorry to say Bunny Hugs and In Dreamland have had some set backs. Many of these two dolls had to make a visit to the Middleton Spa for a facial, due to shinny spots on their faces. But now all is well and they are ready to meet their new families.

The initial description of Bunny Hugs was "BH..is our first full infant created in 'Baby Touch' extra soft vinyl" This description led many dealers and customers to believe Bunny Hugs was a full vinyl doll, which she is not. She has full vinyl arms and legs and a soft body. I extend my apologies to all those that were disappointed that she was not 'full vinyl'. And for those that would prefer a soft body baby doll, she is a perfect one.

All the other dolls have been held for individual inspections, and found to be in great shape and are being shipped to dealers this week.
Just want to add- Bunny Hugs 'Baby Touch' vinyl is so very soft and she is beautiful. In Dreamland is even more precious than his picture. He has such a perfect little lower lip pout (like babies get when they are sleeping and dreaming of next feeding). Did you know he comes with his own music box pillow.? Can't wait to see the rest of these new 2009 Dolls.

 Precious Hope- an exclusive baby from Middleton Dolls- Sold only by us Quality Dolls. She has been ordered and should be available this summer. She is a petite 19" newborn, with brown hair, light skin tone, and Precious Gift face by Reva Schick. Hope wears a pink very soft baby cord long gown trimmed with white lace and pink satin ribbons with matching bonnet. She comes with her very own 'security' blanket that is lined in pink satin. I had the privilege of naming this doll and chose 'Precious Hope'. Taken from her 'Precious Gift' face name and the fact that all babies are Precious gifts from the LORD, and our Hope is in the LORD.
 Baby Zach -Zach is a One of a Kind cernit sculpt by Reva Schick, never used in production. He is 20" newborn and wears a baby's preemie size soft blue romper adorned with felt owls. He has a blonde hand knotted synthetic wig and tiny blonde eyelashes. Reva sculpted this face, hands and feet in 2003. He has a peaceful sleeping face and the most perfect little feet. Sales and lower prices seem to be the sign of the times as we deal with this slow economy and Middleton Dolls is no exception, so they are offering dealers a 20% to 30% discount on older ASC and NOW dolls, to keep in step. Quality Dolls is passing this saving on to our customers by slashing prices. As a consumer preferring quality products and as a collector I would like to say - these lower prices in no way infer that the value has dropped. And I'm sure very soon prices will be climing back up.
